i can't use the partition tool since for diffrent days there are
diffrent amounts of hours of sun. eg 1 januari from 8:00 to 16:00
and 1 februari from 8:00 to 18:00. Wich is making the information
in the list very hard to handle.So can anyone help me find the average yearly sunvector for every hour
for each month
for example
avg sunvector for the whole of januari1:00, avg sunvector (the avareages of all sunvectors at 1:00 in januari)2:00 , avg sunvector3:00 , avg sunvectoruntill24:00, sunvector tempavg for the whole of februari1:00, avg sunvector2:00 , avg sunvector (the avareages of all sunvectors at 2:00 in februari)3:00 , avg sunvectoruntill24:00, avg sunvectorand this for every month of the year.
I want to be able to optimize a surface wich is divided into multiple meshes (so for each part of the surface i want to relate it's normal to the vector of the sun). I'm not so much interested in the visualisations. I hope this is atleast abit understandable.ps: this question is atleast abit simular to my previous question on wich i got some really good help, wich i'm very gratefull for.

2015. You will have the opportunity to play with an experimental large scale distributed framework we have been busy with over the last few months called 'Stampede'. You will get knowledge on MDO and parametric design, meet some of the developers of the framework, hands-on experience and investigate the gained results in an experimental atmosphere. You will be working with Rhino and Grasshopper during the workshop.
PROGRAMME
The workshop will start with an introduction on Stampede and the different technologies involved, such as cloud computing, parametric modelling and multi-disciplinary design optimisation. After the presentations, we will discuss an example use case, get to work with and gain some hands-on experience by applying your newly gained knowledge to design your own multi-disciplinary design optimisation model and investigate its behaviour.

After being happy with the shape I toggle the final generation of mesh from Cocoon with a subd of 1 (126,792 faces). I then calculate direction I want for the pattern, here the same directions as the nearest curve. Surely not the smartest way of doing but it works.
After that Reaction Diffusion could be used. A good site to understand is http://www.karlsims.com/rd.html A good site to choose feed and kill values is http://mrob.com/pub/comp/xmorphia/index.html In order to modify the size of the pattern I use B diffusion and also the size of the mesh. The directionality is controlled by _factor > 1 and pattern will follow tangents, and < 1 pattern will be perpendicular to the tangents.

I understand.
I think honeybee and ladybug together are already a great design tool. I didn't realize the whole story with CFD and the various ways you have tried. Have a lot of respect for your project and your colleagues that are working on this, and I hope you guys get enough credit just going for it considering just how ambitious your project is. and open-source equivalence of at least 7 percent equity share too :) as in per owners. if you guys can offer 1 year cliff and 4 year vesting I will consider joining your team. just kidding what your team is doing are beyond me.
After checking simulation CFD 2015, I realized that one big advantage for LB+HB is that well, I didnt see a built in feature of taking account for direct solar gain as part of the simulation.
From the tutorials I have seen, they set the reference temperature to the exterior walls, but there is nothing solar. Here is a rather comprehensive video of how to set up for Simulation CFD . From 10:30 you can see that boundary condition for exterior walls is set with a film coefficient and Reference temperature (around 12:30). At 12:33, there is actually a parameter called radiation right below. I check the parameters for that myself and found that it includes emissivity and reference temperature but not watt hour per square meter like we have it with ladybug.
SO even for a software like simulation CFD, which already seems very sophisticated with the pay-as-you-go cloud parallel simulation option and all, I don't see that it is designed for simulating natural ventilation. Since with SIM CFD it seems that one can be precise about everything including heat plumes from artificial lights in terms of watts so I am guessing that there is a way to model in solar gain as some kind of projected geometry somehow but it is pretty clear that there is EXTRA WORK needed to factor in solar gain there.
I think it would be pretty major if there is a way to model solar radiation and CFD for interior/building envelop together because I have not seen that kind of simulation in the industry.
