It seems that it's processing some space without problems, but doesn't like this one one bit... After changing the name of the space, it worked.
Anyway, I can now export to openstudio. But it won't load correctly in sketchup when I tried to open the exported .osm. Well, it does load, but it's only wireframes... I tried running the openstudio diagnostic on it, without success.
Has anyone experienced that before?
I've attached the gh file with internalized data if someone would be extremely kind to take a look at it... (please don't mention how bad the names I gave are... I'm aware :) ), as well as the exported .osm.
Thanks!
Julien
PS: don't be surprised if it takes some time to process... The solve adjacencies module takes about 2min to complete on my laptop)
Side note: I've never managed to make the Grizzlybear work for gbXML export... but that can wait until I try it on a simple shoe box...…
hown in the image) into lengths that are some combination of the numbers 24,36,48 and 60.
I have also generated a randomized list of the number set 24,36,48 and 60 from which to select these combinations. The issues I'm currently having are:
1. The number of random values that the random component is currently selecting from the list is based on each curve length divided by 24. My logic was that dividing each curve length with the smallest number in the set of 24,36, 48 and 60 would give the minimum amount of numbers I have to select randomly. However because the set also has 36,48 and 60, The script very quickly overshoots the curve length. So I am not sure what logic to use to set how many random numbers from the list I should pick for each curve.
2. I need to make this recursive because, currently the seed value for the random selection will remain the same and so I will get the same combination for every length.
The 3 curves shown are just an example. I have 100's of curves that I need to do this to.
My script is attached as well. Hope this helps clarify my query.
Thanks,
Tandon

how to solve the problem with these sticks moving around all three axes?
You can find my finished project: http://m4h.hyperbody.nl/index.php/Msc1G7:Expert1
In the end I faked it, after trying for a long time, never thought about asking here.
The first GH file is the most useable, the one I used in the end is more developed then this but it's really messy and hard to clean up (though I will do it if someone wants to help me)
The second is an early sketch, easier overview,
The third one is messy but also has some ideas in it, don't think its helpful but just for the sake of it attached.

Destionado a:
Arquitectos, diseñadores industriales, interioristas, urbanistas, ingenieros industriales, joyeros.

us allows Grasshopper authors to stream geometry to the web in real time. It works like a chatroom for parametric geometry, and allows for on-the-fly 3D model mashups in the web browser. Multiple [Grasshopper] authors can stream geometry into a shared 3D environment on the web – a Platypus Session – and multiple viewers can join that session on 3dplatyp.us to interact with the 3D model. Platypus can be used to present parametric 3D models to a remote audience, to quickly collaborate with other Grasshopper users, or both!
You can down load the Grasshopper plugin at food4rhino, and visit 3dplatyp.us to view your geometry on the web. This first round of Alpha testing will run for two weeks, until April 24 2014, after which the Grasshopper components will not solve.
We are very interested in hearing feedback from the community while the project is still in the prototyping stages of development. Please use the comments on this discussion to ask questions, suggest ideas, report bugs, etc. We are planning on rolling out another public alpha release or two this Spring, depending on how this first one goes, in advance of our Technology Symposium and Hackathon in New York.
Check out our getting started video below, and enjoy!

DESCRIPTION : Two seemingly contrasting ideas combined will turn into something remarkably new. This resulted in the idea of Digital Craftsmanship – connecting the digital technology with artisans’ craftsmanship. Singapore is uniquely positioned to benefit from both – the latest technology in digital fabrication, as well as the beautiful and rich culture of ASEAN craftsmanship in countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. The NUS digital fabrication in architecture studio introduces advanced design to fabrication flow, such as 3D modeling, simulation, digital fabrication and physical assembly and testing. We discover existence of data flow distinguishes digital and conventional craftsmanship, prolonging the interface between human and object. The result is very encouraging –the Digital Craftsmanship approach could lead innovative yet regionally relevant contemporary architectural design, complex yet controlled functional geometry and aesthetics. We hope this exhibition could raise our awareness about preserving the precious wisdom of traditional craftsmanship alongside with advanced fabrication technologies in architecture.
