his comes in the form of an HTML page with links to every component, so you will need to view it in your web browser. (I use Chrome and it doesn't seem to be working correctly, but when opened in IE its fine.)
2) Included in each help topic for each component is the Inputs and Outputs descriptions and data types.
3) You supply the data. What you supply and how you supply it is for you to decide. There are umpteen different ways. Are you asking for a list of those ways for each input?
4) Points can either be Rhino objects or 3D co-ordinates. To create a point you can use any of these methods, but it mostly comes down to user preference. I like using Panels as this displays outside of the component.
5) Because of the nature of vectors they represent magnitude and direction but they don't have an independent location, so there is a component that will display vectors in Rhino.

11) Toolbar management is probably the bane of David's life. Most things are logically placed. For example the Curve Tab, Primitives are any simple curve types that you are creating from scratch. Similarly Splines is for more complex curve types created from scratch. Analysis is where you find components that are finding answers supplied by curves, control points, curvature, parameters, end points etc. Division is a subset of this category but has a group of its own. And Utilities is where you find curve related actions that you want to perform, offsetting, rebuilding projecting, exploding etc.
12) I would image it would have been the Point On Curve component in Curve>Analysis. Why that group? You are not putting a point on a curve you are analysing a curve for the location of a point based on some parameters that you are supplying. For example "what is the mid point?"
I hope this goes some way towards answering you questions. No doubt this will have generated more so don't be afraid to ask, it took me several releases of Explicit History (aka Grasshopper) before I realised what the egg did, it never occurred to me that I could put my objects into Rhino when I was finished. Or the fact that I could use panels to 'see' data outputs.

I live on my computer and I even sleep with it, so learning all this is probably within my reach but I'm a complete beginner as of now.
I'm downloading the 32 bit version of rhino 5 since the 64 bit doesn't seem to work with your downloads Jon.
I haven't grasped everything you have made yet Jon I can't even begin to understand what your IFC stuff is actually capable of, but just to be clear I'm not interested in solely being able to tell that something is colliding as there are already software that can do that beautifully. What I want to do is bypass that step altogether by never having collision-checking back and forth go on, even collisions which aren't physical collisions, but rather just violations by code. The simplest way to do this would be to simply make the geometry of the beams 2 feet wider than they are in real life, so that way you could put a light right next to the 'over-sized' beam and it would still be within the rules. But that would be extremely primitive and I'm sure there's a way to do it mathematically.
Just to clarify, I'm the fire sprinkler designer in the architectural circus. The sprinkler designer (me) doesn't really get the luxury of telling the other trades that they're colliding with my stuff and they should move. Rather, I get their drawings, find out I'm colliding with them, and move around them. So it would be of great use to me to have this be automatic - that is, to automatically space my sprinklers the neccesary distance away from all obstructions. There are different spacing rules for different obstructions - walls, beams, open web steel, unit heaters, hvac ducts depending on how wide the ducts are, lights, fans, high rack storage, basically anything that would obstruct the water spray from a sprinkler needs to be taken into account and spaced away from.
It's therefore a very attractive idea to be able to just draw a rectangle (representing the walls of a simple room) for instance, have the sprinklers automatically spaced as far apart as possible within the rectangle according to the rulebooks (to minimize the amount of sprinklers needed which minimizes the material cost of the job).
Then add obstructions inside the rectangle, such as a beam, and have the sprinklers relocate themselves or add new sprinklers to accommodate for the new obstruction.. Keep adding obstructions until you have the realistic 3d model of the room, with the sprinklers spaced accordingly, and you have an up-to-code sprinkler system.
There is one example where sprinklers actually need to be spaced really close to, rather than away from, an object.. and that is the ceiling (sprinklers must be within 12 in of ceiling typically).
If the HVAC guy decides to reroute his ducts right through my sprinklers, then I could draw 3D HVAC ducts (I usually get 2D drawings coming in) going right through the room and the sprinklers would relocate and auto-space away from the ducts, without actually having to tell the HVAC guy he is colliding with me because all that will do is require me to do a redesign anyway.
And presto, the HVAC guy loves me because I didn't complain to him at all and seemingly did all this work by moving around him when all I really did was use the computer to do it, the job gets done much faster and I don't have to worry that I'm going to lose my job in court because I made a silly human error when I was patching my system manually because some HVAC guy made me redesign 12 times in different places.
From what I have been reading from you guys, doing this is possible although (I realize) ambitious. The end result would be vastly increased productivity, less error making, cheaper design cost, etc. Using programs like Rhino, architects are getting more and more funny-shaped buildings and making it difficult for guys like me to make sprinkler systems within the rules, and I see it as an inevitability that computers will be making almost all of the typical design decisions in the future when it comes to life safety systems, I'm just trying to see if it's possible to start implementing this extra aid today.

I divide this edges in 40 points (or equivalent) (A)
I identify my curves (curves) which are on the floors
I identify the crosspoint between my edge-blade and the curves (B)
I have to test the difference between X Y Z of each A and B.
I have to test which B point is the closest of each A
Each A points which is close to B (Distance < 40 cm) must be on the floor
I have to input a math formula in order to représent the movement of A points regarding their distance to B (example : A1 Z = Distance between A1 and B / 2)
If there are 2+ B, that mean that i have "to do something" to get a correct movement. I mean
2 consecutives points must be on the same "plan"
2 height difference between each point must be 0 or a dedicated value
Regarding Ceiling, it is a duplication of the floor but there is coef to apply with Z distance.

3) Grasshopper tells the Slider object that the mouse moved and the slider works out the new value as implied by the new cursor position.
4) The slider then expires itself and its dependencies ([VB Step 1] in this case, but there can be any number of dependent objects).
5) When [VB Step 1] is expired by the slider, it will in turn expire its dependencies (VB Step 2), and so on, recursively until all indirect dependencies of the slider have been expired.
6) When the expiration shockwave has subsided, runtime control is returned to the slider object, which tells the parent document that stuff has changed and that a new solution is much sought after.
7) The Document class then iterates over all its objects (they are stored in View order, not from left to right), solving each one in turn. (Assuming the object needs solving, but since in your example ALL objects will be expired by a slider change, I shall assume that here).
8) It's hard to tell which object will get triggered first. You'd have to superimpose them in order to see which one is visually the bottom-most object, but let's assume for purposes of completeness that it's the [VB Step 1] object which is solved first.
9) [VB Step 1] is triggered by the document, which causes it to collect all the input data.
10) The input parameter [x] is asked to collect all its data, which in turn will trigger the Slider to solve itself (it got expired in step 4 remember?). This is not a tricky operation, it merely copies the slider value into the slider data structure and shouts "DONE!".
11) [x] then collects the number, stores it into its own data structure and returns priority to the [VB Step 1] object.
12) [VB Step 1] now has sufficient data to get started, so it will trigger the script inside of it. When the script completes, the component is all ready and it will tell the parent document it can move on to the next object (the iteration loop from step 7).
13) Let us assume that the slider object is next on the list, but since it has already been solved (it was solved because [VB Step 1] needed the value) it can be skipped right away, which leaves us with the last object in the document which is still unsolved.
14) [VB Step 2] will be triggered by the document in very much the same way as [VB Step 1] was triggered in step 9. It will also start by collecting all input data.
15) Since all the input data for [VB Step 2] is either defined locally or provided by an object which has already been solved, this process is now swift and simple.
16) Upon collecting all data and running the user script, the component will surrender priority and the document becomes active again.
17) The document triggers a redraw of the Grasshopper Canvas and the Rhino viewports and then surrenders priority again and so on and so forth all the way up the hierarchy until Grasshopper becomes idle again.

Pretty involved for a small 3-component setup, but there you have it.
To answer somewhat more directly your questions:
- The order in which objects are solved is the same as the order in which they are drawn. This is only the case at present, this behaviour may change in the future.
- Adding a delay will not solve anything, since the execution of all components is serial, not parallel. Adding a delay simply means putting everything on hold for N milliseconds.
- [VB Step 1] MUST be solved prior to [VB Step 2] because otherwise there'd be no data to travel from [GO] to [Activate]. The only tricky part here is that sometimes [VB Step 1] will be solved as part of the process of [VB Step 2], while at other times it may be solved purely on its own merits. This should not make a difference to you as it does not affect the order in which your scripts are called.

ted (in the old scheme, all inputs were always taken into account) and it's more obvious what happens to the data just by looking at an image. Also, it clears out the component menu and it's easier to add more functionality later on without creating too much confusion.
Interpolate will 'sample' the data at equally spaced intervals. Let's say you have a list of 8 fruits, as I used in my example. What happens if you interpolate this list using 4 samples? Well, the first and last sample are always centered on the first and last items in the original list. The in between samples are distributed at equidistant intervals:
So you'd end up with a list containing {Lemon, Bergamot, Mandarin, Tangerine}. If you interpolate this list using 12 equally spaced samples, it will look like this:
and it results in a list containing {Lemon, Lime, Lime, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Grapefruit, Orange, Orange, Mandarin, Rangpur, Rangpur, Tangerine}. Of course interpolating a list may result in weird sampled intervals because of the rounding of sample parameter to list indices.
Interpolation does not sample in between values. It will not return a value that is 30% Grapefruit and 70% Orange. This kind of interpolation is only possible on a subset of data types (numbers, vectors, points, colours etc.) but these components must operate on all data types. I added a specific interpolation component as well, that performs numeric sampling using 4 possible interpolation functions, but this is a wholly different kind of interpolation.

The PC actually stops working because after a few seconds the simulation starts the fan inside the PC all of a sudden stops and for the next 5-10 mins I cannot do anything, even alt+ctrl+canc. After I wait for that time i get the followig error:
