oints when you divide the isocurves. So if on one level you only have 1 isocurve, divide it in to 30; 2 isocurves divide each into 15 (15x2=30); 3 isocurves divide each by 10; etc. Then make sure that the levels are a proper distance apart, and that the isocurves are divided densely enough. You still may get some artifacts in your mesh, which is why I am interested in what panhao has done here, although I don't know any scripting to translate and java classes to C# classes, although it may be "nothing new".…
nth". It complains about "global name "orange" not defined. When you define this situation through Series component it works fine. Checked with other LB components that use input from the AnalysisPeriod and they seem to work well, so the issue is only with SunPath.
2. Another one with the same components: defining, for instance, fromHour 10 - toHour 15, in the model you get from 10 to 14 (one hour less than you asked for), even though that the report output and analysisPeriod input are correct.
3. If already there, defining the "center point" for the Sunpath will be usefull. Not always you want the 0,0,0, or the center of the model. I mentioned this after seeing the part of the video when you intersect the lofted sun positions with a building. Of course you can move the model or move the fan but this can make a shortcut for the user.

connect like a spiral line rather than contours. That is, as you see in the panel, I have just one line rather than having a list of closed curves. If I split the imported list to sub-lists of 10 members, I can get the conturs, but the problem is that the main list that I have has different number of points on each contour line. For example, line 0 has 10 points, line 1 has 15 points, line 2 has 13 points. How can I get contour lines out of a list which is not following any rules to be divided? I appreciate your time and help.…
s come from an outside script that translates music into a text file and is plugged into the rotation component. I have the script working the way I want it to (choosing which point the piece will rotate on and following the previous piece that it is attached to).
The issue:I started the script with a point xyz and connected it to a line SDL and divided that line SDL using a slider which then extends lines perpendicular to the first. These will be the points where my "module" are placed and dividing the line will give me a series of that module. Now, what I want to do is mass produce this piece (using this line and dividing method or any other suggested methods) and be able to manipulate the next row from the division (possibly having the next row rotate like the first, but with its own set values so that it is connected at the first piece on the second row to the first piece on the first row and all pieces that follow will rotate at their own values using the random component). I have attached my script to this post. The line and divider component that I am referring to is located at the very beginning of the script. Any help with this will be great!
Another issue I am having is mass producing the modules that attach to the previous module at one of those 5 points. If you look at the script, there is a large section where I basically copied and pasted a module over and over again until there were 15 of them. Is there a simpler way of doing this?
The last issue that I am having is that my script seems to be making the computer run really slow and moving some sliders around takes quite some time. Any suggestions on how to simplify my script to make it run smoothly again will be great as well!
Thank You

urther the design process, allowing for much greater speed with working on complicated and repeating forms. Grasshopper creates parametric modeling to automate production, new forms, shapes, patterns and your own interfaces. It is only possible with the algorithmic modeling. No knowledge of programming or scripting required, but still allows designers to build form generators from the simple to the awe-inspiring designs. Class covers List management and introduce Date Trees. We will work on jewelry projects (not all) however design professionals from all industries can be benefited from the class. Basic Rhino knowledge is required. Please bring your laptop. Grasshopper is in Rhino 6. For Rhino 5 latest Grasshopper can be dowloaded from here. https://www.rhino3d.com/download/grasshopper/1.0/wip/rc Rhino 5 for Mac comes with Grasshopper. Instructor: Akiyo Matsuoka. f 15 points and my teacher said to me afterwards: "Chris, you know that the one point was a sympathy point don't you ?" ... so baby steps but i'm catchin up ..
to help me follow the breadcrumbs through the patch could you maybe dumb it down extremely for me and just list a couple of steps how the system functions, sth like. 1) define string gauge- 2) draw neck liine 3) calculate spacing or sth like that, like a super high level overview. it's great that you have grouped, named and colored everything (many many thx for that !) this helps a lot for my understanding but you are using so many components i have never used that it's a bit difficult at the moment to follow the logical flow.
BUT: everything pans out now and spacing is perfect and all is centered ... with this one can build guitars :-)

cy of design communication and the control of information-flow are as important as the creativity of ideas. In response to the concurrent digital evolution emerging in the architectural industry world-wide, the Faculty of Architecture at The University of Hong Kong will host a two week intensive summer program named Digital Practice.Led by professors from The University of Hong Kong, as well as invited practitioners with expertise in practice of cutting edge digital techniques, the program offers participants opportunities to experience applications of computational tools during different stages of an architectural project, i.e. concept design, form finding and optimization, delivery, management and communication of design information under the team-based working environment. By learning advanced computational techniques through case studies in the context of Hong Kong, participants are expected to go beyond the conventional perception of technology, considering users and tools as a feedback-based entity instead of a dichotomy. The program, which is taught in English, includes a series of evening lectures related delivered by teaching staff and invited local architects. …
