ractive way to implement physics-based constraints into your parametric workflows. Through a series of short presentations and “live” exercises, learn essential techniques for setting up and developing Simulations with Kangaroo in Grasshopper, ranging from particle systems to spring networks.
This webinar will last 2.5 hours including multiple open Q & A sessions. With two instructors offering guided curriculum and continuous support it is our goal to provide you with an in-depth and personal learning experience. A video of the webinar as well as instructor files will be uploaded after the broadcast – all participants will have unlimited access to the webinar content and this video online. Registration can be found below. We look forward to your participation!
Topics:
What is Physics-Based Simulation and when is it useful?
What types of Simulations can I develop with Kangaroo?
What are Force-Objects and what is Physical Geometry?
How can I calibrate and control my Simulation?

you post a screenshot of what the message coming from its readMe! output looks like?2) Close your Grasshopper and Rhino.3) Download "Revo Uninstaller Pro" from here. It is free for first 30 days, which is what we need.4) Right click on the RevoUninProSetup.exe and check if the file is blocked. If it is, unblock it.5) Run the RevoUninProSetup.exe file and install "Revo Uninstaller Pro".6) Uninstall "MapWinGIS" with "Revo Uninstaller Pro". It is important that "Revo Uninstaller Pro" deletes not only files from MapWinGIS installation folder, but also all other leftovers (as registry inputs). Here is a small tutorial on how to do that. Watch it from 6:10 till the end.7) Restart your PC8) When your Windows boots up, make sure that you are logged in as Administrator!9) In your Start menu's search box type: "UAC", which will find your User Account Control Settings. Click on it, and a new window will open. Set the bar on the left to "Never notify".10) Turn off your Windows Firewall.11) Then turn off your custom Firewall (in case you have another one, besides standard Windows Firewall).12) Completely turn off your Antivirus.13) Download again the MapWinGIS-only-v4.9.4.2-x64.exe.exe file from here.14) Right click on the MapWinGIS-only-v4.9.4.2-x64.exe file and see if it is blocked. If it is, unblock it.15) Right click on MapWinGIS-only-v4.9.4.2-x64.exe file and choose: "Run as"... Administrator.16) One the installation preparation steps start, choose "Full installation". Wait for the MapWinGIS installation to finish.17) Right-click on "Rhino 5" icon and then choose: "Run as administrator".18) Open the the ironpython_admin.gh file again, and again post a screenshot of the message coming from its readMe! output.19) Drop the "Gismo Gismo" component to Grasshopper canvas. Post a screenshot of the message coming out from its readMe! output.
So we will need in total three screenshots of the readMe! output messages.
Thank you once again for being patient, and sorry for the large number of steps.…

your case), then subtract one and select the item at that index. Remember that items in lists are accessed using a zero-based system, so the first item is at index 0, the second item at index 1 and so on.
It's easier however to cheat and use an index of -1 and make sure Wrap is set to True. This will allow you to select the last item in a list without measuring the length of the list first. If you use -2 you'll select the second to last item, and so on and so forth.

11 number instead of 10 (0-10, 10-20, etc). Also grasshopper numbered (i've numbered it for easier view) the panels vertically starts from bottom left.
Questions:
1. How to generate correct number ranges (0-9, 10-19, etc)?
2. How to change the numbering horizontally so i could select items by row?
3. I also found out that some surface have correct U and V direction and some of the have it inverted (U in V position, vice versa). This has cause some problems in my design. is there a way grasshopper or rhino to change its U &V ?
First time posting here. sorry if there's any mistake or misunderstanding.
Thanks,

al read” component in grasshopper.
But somehow it seems that the command line “TempSensor.requestTemperatures();” makes the firefly firmata somehow unstable. I have also connected 5 servo motor which move strangely irregular/wrong when the command line above is in the program. So, when I for example only control the "Digital Pin 12" in grasshopper it mainly moves the servo on Pin 11 (!) but also a bit time delayed the servo on Pin 12.
Do you have any ideas? It has to be something inside the “#include <DallasTemperature.h>” (Libary for the temperature sensor) which doesnt go together with the firefly firmata und gets something wrong in the "void WriteToPin" firmata command
Or do you may have any working codes for implementing a temperature sensor? Its doenst have to be the one i have, I could get another one.
here you can see the code: http://txt.do/drqao (a simplified version of the latest firmata including my TempSensor lines marked with "//...//TEST")
Thanks! Julian…
ncepts and features of Grasshopper at an accelerated pace in an instructor-led online environment.
Session Schedule: 9:00am-10:45am Lecture/Classwork Break 10:45am-11:00am 11:00am-12:30pm Lecture/Classwork 12:30pm-1:00pm Questions (optional participation)
Details: An outline of the class material is available here. The class will be conducted in English using the GoToTraining software. You will need Rhino 4.0 for Windows or the Rhino 5.0 for Windows beta installed. You will also need the latest build of Grasshopper. You may use the Rhino 4.0 for Windows evaluation version, however you will be limited to 25 saves. Using the Rhino for OSX WIP is not acceptable for this class.…
em as data to inform agents behaviour in processing. The difference is that i need the whole 3d volume of the shadow and not only the projection on the ground. Is this possible with Grasshopper+ghowl?
Another thought that i had for doing this, was to construct an array of meshes in witch each mesh would represent the shadow volume for every quarter of an hour through the day (8.00 to 18.00,september 11 so aprox 48 meshes) and construct a definition in grasshopper with a slider that would control witch mesh (geometry) would be connected each time in processing for simulation.
I know that i ask a lot but any information on how to proceed with any of my 2 approaches would be very helpful.
Thank you very much in advance.
