adybug are running the same weather file. with the exception that I converted the epw to a wea file using EergyPlus converter so it can be read by ecotect weather tool.
I modified the cooling and heating base temperatureof the CDH-HDH component in order to match those used by ecotect (heating = 18 degC, cooling = 26 degC)
1. What are the units that CDH-HDH component returns ( I guess it should be Kelvin Hours- Kh)
2. Heating deg Hours seams to match perfectly
3. Cooling deg Hours are completely different. LB returns a maximum value of 158.3 for July while ecotect returns a maximum value of 1430 for July.

thank you all in advance

next level.
This Parametric Design course will provide the participants with the necessary knowledge and ability to use Grasshopper, a free visual programming plugin in Rhinoceros; you will be guided through a series of hands-on exercises that highlight NURBS modeling and its concepts. We will introduce Grasshopper as a graphical algorithm editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3D modeling tools. You will also learn how Rhino is used to render models for visualization, translate 3D models for prototyping, and export 3D models into 2D CAD or graphics programs.
English is the course main language.

on 2: I think the reason to draw a fitness landscape is to highlight graphically the presence of local minima, even in a simple optimisation problem. In architectural terms, this means getting an idea of how many sub-optimal solutions there are in a problem, which helps while exploring conceptual design proposals.
Have a look at this very basic example (which I published with two colleagues on "Shell Structures for Architecture", chapter 18): a shell footbridge (24m x 4m footprint), which is generated by two parabolic section curves (the two apex heights are the two design variables). The maximum displacement of the structure under gravity load and self-weight is the objective function. Simple example, but several local minima and interesting shell forms (image below).
@AB,
The expression used by David in the Number of Samples Input is a simple “x+1”. By grafting the Divide Curve Output, he got 81*81 lenghts (6,561 values). You have to make sure that number is divisible by the no. of samples. The second expression used for the Length output is only a scaling factor (my guess), to control the height of the fitness landscape drawing.
Cheers…
