tructures)
Bad news: real-life AEC trusses are far and away from lines.
Ugly news: Rhino is NOT an AEC app by any means nor it would ever be. For AEC app I mean the known 3 (Allplan, Revit and my favorite: AECOSim) and/or proper MCAD apps (like CATIA/NX). In plain English : without exporting (meaning (a) bake in nested blocks + (b) export via STEP) proper structured data (assembly/component) this WIP case is absolutely useless.
why may you ask.
well ... trusses are made with numerous shop drawings like this, that's why:

I also use an old app called Microsoft Expression Encoder which comes with Expression Encoder Screen Capture. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=18974
Once you record something with the Screen Capture, you have to convert it with the encoder... its can be a small pain, but generally once set up its one click with some saved preset.
Both of those screen cap apps are completely free, don't put watermarks, record in full hd, no time limits and are quite well optimized on top of that. …

This Parametric Design course will provide the participants with the necessary knowledge and ability to use Grasshopper, a free visual programming plugin in Rhinoceros; you will be guided through a series of hands-on exercises that highlight NURBS modeling and its concepts. We will introduce Grasshopper as a graphical algorithm editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3D modeling tools. You will also learn how Rhino is used to render models for visualization, translate 3D models for prototyping, and export 3D models into 2D CAD or graphics programs.
English is the course main language.

ly independently. The reason I ask is that I think it would be very appealing to be able to develop geometry producing definitions withing GH and Rhino but be able to spin off little self contained apps that could take in data, do calcs, and spit geometry files out the other side!

on?). I've been able to install the last one (9.2), now I've got problem in finding the UWG installer (can't find a "download" button on the page you linked). I contacted last week the developer because on the download page it was saying "UWG code available upon request" but I still didn't get any answer...
