I am starting on a project where I want to create a scale texture on a 3 dimensional surface. Any ideas on how to get started ?
Each scale has to be a 3d object.
n select that baked geometry in Rhino, and choose File->Save as-> name.3ds
Then download the Archicad "3ds Studio in" add-on for Archicad 11 from here
or for Archicad 12 from here
There may be a version of Archicad 14 too, but I can not find it.
After the installation completes, turn on the Archicad, and choose File-> File special -> Import 3d Studio file -> Convert 3ds to GDL object. That will convert your .3ds exported file into .gsm and you will be able to import it into Archicad by using the "Object tool".…
