Hi Marc,

It will be nice that once you bake a certain VisualArq object, it goes to the correct layer.

As you have to open a VisualARQ template to be able to load the GH components, and as it contains the layers, maybe bake and move to the proper layer could be the way to go.

Hi Oriol,

Thanks to report that. We will fix that bug in the next version update.

Regards,

One issue: When I use the "slab" component and export it to Revit as an IFC, Revit does not recognize it as a "floor" but as a "generic model" so I cannot edit it or assign any slab property to it.

Thanks!

Hi Owe,

We have fixed this issue for the next VisualARQ 1.8 version, that will be released with the VisualARQ Grasshopper Components WIP 3.

Regards,

Hi, it would be nice to be able to place doors within curtain walls. Revit has planty of options on curtain walls, you could maybe take a look there. I know curtain walls are a new addition on the latest release, so this is just so you can take it into consideration for the next release.

And maybe add even more features for construction documents? Like axis, parametric dimensions and so on.

Regards,

Fernando Maytorena

Hi Fernando,

Thanks for these suggestions. We have in mind to include the option to insert doors and windows in Curtain walls in future releases. I'll let you know when it is ready.

Hi!

Element style components (eg. WallSty) lose referenced style when re-opening rhino. Is it possible to fix?

I didn't get wall "Add solids" and "Substract solids" components work. I would also like to see possibility to make tilted walls.

-H

Hi Harri,

Up to the WIP 3 version, it is not possible to "Internalise data" for the referenced VisualARQ object styles. So only if the object style does exist in the document, the Object Style Component will recognize it in GH.

About the wall "Add solids" and "Subtract solids" components, make sure the solids are closed polysurfaces, otherwise the operation won't work. If the problem persists, please attach the .gh/.3dm files or send them to fsalla@asuni.com.

About tilted walls, try to create them in GH and turn them into VisualARQ walls using the "Wall: From solid" component. All you need is a closed geometry and a curve to define the wall path. If you can add some example of tilted wall  you want to get, we will consider to add it in future versions of VisualARQ.

Regards,

There appears to be a bug in the Rotate parameter of the Column Option component. Every angle I enter displays incorrectly, for example, when I enter 90, a random angle of rotation appears; and when I bake the column at 90, the result in the Rhino Column Properties tab states the rotation is at 116.6 degrees. Any thoughts?

Hi Brandon,

You need to enter the angle of rotation in radians. You can use the "radians" component that converts an angle specified in degrees to radians.

Best regards,

that was the issue: convert degrees to radians works. thanks

Hi, I am using the VisualARQ Grasshopper Components to create a VisualARQ wall. I gave it a 40 cm thickness to the wall, however, every time I bake that wall, it appears as a 20 cm thick wall in Rhino. Do you know what could be the problem there? I'm attaching an image so you can get a better idea.

Regards,
