algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello!
In the introduction video I saw it is possible to add a curve component to the particle positions, so you can trace the movement of particles.
I tried out the same but it didn't work. What could be the cause of this?
My goal would be to trace the movement of particles and I would like to use the trace curves for further munipulation.
How is it possible to stop the simulation and bake this curves or keep them somehow?
Thanks for replies in advance!

Hi Daniel, you can find in this link (http://quelea.alexjfischer.com/example-scripts/) the Obstacle Avoidance script, in that code is a piece of script that trace the movement of each particle.
If you wan't to manipulate the trace curve then you would have to record the curve with a "Data Recorder" component.
Thanks Javier,
but it still doesn't work. Did you mean Get Particle Position History component?
It does the same as the position list from Deconstruct Particle, it gets only the last particle position. I don't understand this. Maybe this component is wrong, it makes no history.
I also tried the data recorder. This works, it is catching the particles but I can't make my curves with this either because it creates a flipped list, and I can't flip it back since it's a simulation.
Do you have any ideas how to go on?
Now everything works! Thanks a lot!
Some other questions: Why do I get duplicate points from the data recorder?
Is it possible just to stop the simulation without reset?
