Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am quite new to the panelling tool in Grasshopper and my question is probably (and hopefully) easy to solve.. but I don't know how to do it.

I have an irregular surface which I want to divide in panels with a absolute length (let's say 3x3 metres). With the panelling tool in Grasshopper I can divide rectangular surfaces, but I don't know how the do it with the surface in my file. I want it to follow the surface, not making a rectangular surface of it.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Jouri,

Looks like you have a planar surface, but it is trimmed.  I assume you would like the panels to be trimmed to the surface.

While this functionality is available in the PanelingTools for Rhino, it is not ported to PT-GH yet, but it will be very soon.

Okay thanks. Yes, I would like to trim the panels to the surface. I am looking forward to this update in PT-GH .. in the meantime I will stick to the Rhino PanelingTools.
