Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear all,

i tried to get equilibrium for a tree-like structure.

the tree has 3 levels: root, 1st level branche with one pyramide and 2nd level with 3 pyramides.

i try to see the infulence when I change the UForce, so I put more UForce on one of pyrimide on 2nd level, theoretically the 1st level(or the whole system) must change its equilibrium after that, but it looks like each level dosent hanging togather with ohter one.

has anybody idea what could be the problem I made?

Hi Frank,

There is very rarely any need to have multiple instances of the Kangaroo component on the canvas.

That component represents the whole physics system, combining all the different force inputs.

When you have multiple copies of it you end up with separate systems which can only interact via the wires you have connecting them in grasshopper (which are one directional, so there can be no reaction forces).

Try feeding all your geometry and forces into the same system - that should be much simpler, and the particles will be able to interact with each other properly.
