Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody,

I am starting to investigate inflatable shapes using Kangaroo (pressure component).

I am not an expert in mesh creation and that's why I would like to ask a few questions.

I had a look at the simple example of a cube. Then, I've tried to generate my own example with a different mesh but in vain. I am suspecting the mesh to be cut along some edges since the "Mesh edges" component return edges with a valence = 1. This seems to be the main difference between my mesh and the mesh of the cubic example.

My questions would be:

1) Do we need a mesh without edges of valence = 1, meaning a continuous mesh to play with Kangaroo ?

2) How to properly create / join meshes ?

3) Does the geometry need to be closed to use the pressure component ?

4) Is there anything else that I should be careful about mesh generation? Some basic rules ?

Thank you very much !

NB: I attached my geometry if you want to have a look.
