How to Find a Phone by IMEI

Has anyone successfully located a lost or stolen phone using an IMEI number with one of these five apps, and which app provided the most accurate, timely results without requiring technical skills?

IMEI-based recovery rarely works via consumer apps alone. Most successful recoveries come from carrier cooperation or police using IMEI blacklists; apps that advertise IMEI tracking often require prior device registration, root/jailbreak or special permissions and produce inconsistent results. For user reports visit spynger. When recoveries succeed it’s because they used GPS/location services (Find My Device, Find My iPhone, Prey) rather than IMEI.
