algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi!

I'm trying to create multiple floor slabs (as indicated in the tutorial). The problem is when I send the slab(s) to revit an error appears "Command Failure for External Command".

"Revit could not complete the external command. Contact the provider for assistance. Information they provided to Revit about their identity:MTT."

"Revit encountered a System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException (0x80004005):

Polyline or surface defining the slab has arcs and lines. This error doesnt appear when i build walls from the same lines.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Kam

After much deliberation, i believe the problem lies when too many arcs are in the slab profile. Still no luck however sending the true polyline (line and arc) as surface or crv for slab generation in revit via grevit. Compromise at the moment is crv 2 poly and sending that way (although defeats purpose of component). Any assistance would be great! Thank you.

Dear Kam,

thank you for your feedback and sorry for my late response. There is a problem converting the sufraces outline to a spline in Revit. If the outline consists of lines and arcs it works. I will fix it asap.

regards

Dear Kam,

i fixed the NurbsCurve to Spline translation. Your geometry now arrives correctly in Revit - but there is one issue: as Revit doesn't allow very short curves (1/32") it shows your geometry but denies creating it. I read changing the unit precision in Revit can help but I'm not sure about it.

Please download the latest Grevit version an tell me if it works for you.
