algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Connecting to excel file.

Hey Guys, 

I just installed Ghowl and I am trying to connect to an excel file. I am using Open Office (as advised) and this saves 'ods' files. how can I save from open office to 'xlsx' files which I understand is the format the spreadsheet reader needs?

Hello,

Apologies for the confusion, but I am pretty sure Open Office no longer supports xlsx.  Libre Office does have support for .xlsx files, so try that.  Also, don't forget to install the OpenXMLSDKv2.msi file prior to using the spreadsheet components.

hey thanks Luis,

I figured the stream I was reading was old. I installed OpenXMLSDKv2.msi and I am using Excel 2007 now. The GH to excel connection is now working.
