Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am trying to place 4 different meshes or geometries on different colors on a surface.

I allready have a script in grasshopper but somehow there is somewhere an error. The meshes are not placed and visible on the surface.

I don't know where the problem is.

Could somebody have a look at it and help me to find the error?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

as you are morphing the same topological geometry(sphere in different sizes are still the same if you define it by the there boundingboxes)

How do you think something different should than appear than a morphed sphere perfectly fitting the morphbox as it follows the boundingbox as a dummy.

If you want to have variation you have to use the same sized boundingbox but the geometry inside should be scaled.

But anyway i would recommend you to build the geometry at the location instead of using morphing, regarding the problem you asked for the last post.

Hi,

Thanks for your reaction. The idea is to have different openings in the geometry at different colors. So blue is open, red half open and yellow is closed. I tried several ways to get it done, but it is still not working. I don't know if you have a solution or some tips to help me out?

The sphere in different sizes was just an example, but the spheres are not placed on the surface. Independently of there size. I want to use quadrangles of the same size, where the inside opening is different.

I don't really understand what you mean in your last request?

Hi,

I see that you are not so familiar with this terminology and I already understood what you want to achieve. I would recommend you to familiarize yourself with the possibilities in grasshopper.

If you would need some material I recommend you to visit our friends at geometrydepth for some courses or on YouTube. Or you can stream also our workshop class there.
