Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello,

I'm trying to create an 'optical flow' based dynamic mesh texture, using a prerecorded video clip. the frame rate of my .avi video clip is originally 8 fps but it gets automatically reduced to 0-2 fps while inserted to the 'video player' component. this makes the outcome look very disrupted.

is there a way to control the 'video player' frame rate or does the component adjust it automatically to the highest feasible frame rate? are there any alternatives for the 'video player' to achieve a smooth result? (I don't need it to look smooth real time as I plan to slider animate it at the end)

I've tried using 'image sequence' of the same video as an alternative input, to make sure that none of the frames get skipped, but 'optical flow' component seems to only accept video input.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions!

thanks in advance,

jo
