Firefly + Arduino + Stepper + Big easy driver + no communication


I want to control a stepper motor ( nema 17 with 1.68a ) through firefly. For this I'm using an arduino uno and a big easy driver. The wiring I did, follows the instructions of the firefly example folder pictures. Means step is connected to pin 3 ,dir to pin 2 and gnd to gnd on the arduino. The coil pairs of the motor are also connected correctly.

When I upload a easy script to the arduino the motor starts moving, but when I upload the quad stepper firefly firmata and give him commands to move the stepper, nothing happens.

Has anybody an idea what I am doing wrong.

I really need help here
