Weaving Pattern

I have a weaving definition where you input a surface and it applies the weave to that surface, but then, it  pipes the curves.  I need it to create a flat weave out of those curves,such as in the 1st photo which I have attached attached. I have tried to modify the definition , but it is not working out. I have also attached a photo of that definition. Does anyone have any suggestions?   Thank you
