algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi there,
I am relatively new to grasshopper but i'm trying to recreate a voronoi tower from an online tutorial, however I am having trouble with the last few steps requiring Weaverbird's mesh thicken and Catmull Clark functions.
I have a feeling it is to do with an earlier step but no matter how many times I redo it, I keep coming up with the same issue. A flat mesh with no rounding of junctions. I was wondering if someone might be able to give me some advise?
I have attached the rhino and grasshopper files as well as a screen shot of what the geometry should look like. The tutorial I was following is http://www.zideo.nl/playzideo/6c4965536e46356f
Thank you in advance!

Hi Amber,
I was able to get your definition working by making a couple of changes. First of all, it seemed your model was enormous and so thickening it by 2 units wasn't going to be very noticeable in any case. I moved the model towards the origin and used more manageable dimensions. I also switched a couple of wires in the merge, where you combine vertices - that seemed to be the key. The fact that you are mapping the voronoi from a plane to a cylinder means that you are going to get a mismatch on the cylinder seam but there's nothing you can do about that except populate the cylinder itself with points and use voronoi 3d.
Hi Ethan,
Thanks so much for your help! The model is massive, I didn't think to scale it down so what you are saying makes so much sense. I will see how I go using voronoi 3d to fix the mismatch. Thank you again :)
Oops, loos like my upload didn't work again.
