VB.Net

Hi everyone,

I have to learn scripting by VB.NET to apply in Grasshopper. I don't have any background neither in Visual Basic nor in any other programming, Is there any useful "tutorial" that can help me?

Hi M,

VB.NET is a huge topic. It's possible to write very simple and short pieces of code with it, but an actual tutorial that aims to teach the language is bit of a tall order. If you post a very simple problem, someone might write you a script that performs that action and hopefully properly annotate the code.

RhinoScript is a much smaller language altogether and is easier to learn. You won't be able to transition smoothly from RhinoScript to VB.NET, but at least RhinoScript comes with a great helpfile (which has examples for every function) and a bunch of free online documents.
