Variable Diameter Net Definition?

I am trying to turn these cells into a net with an adjustable diameter on a slider.  Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?  In addition, this is just gravy but if there was some way to make the net sag some in the middle that would be awesome.  Thanks for looking and any potential help!
