Urban zoning using interactive area growth

Hello, I'm trying to achieve this ussing

Grasshopper Kangaroo what I want is each region to shrink/enlarge its area to correspond to the area value set by the user.

I found this video but does anyone know how to start? or a tutorial to solve a similar problem?
