Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

I’m doing a project for school and I would like to use Grasshopper to make my model. I have an idea for a folding pattern and I want to 3D print the model. I have only some experience with GH, but I found some definitions on http://livecomponents-ny.com that include folding patterns.

But I have an issue with generating surfaces. I’m pretty sure my definitions are the same as the examples, but the ‘Origami Folding’ definition only gives 2 small surfaces in the end. The ‘Horizontal Folding’ definition gives a lot more surfaces, but some are weirdly curved and I can see the model is not finished yet. (btw I can make surfaces using GH, I tried with a pipe around a line)

Origami Folding: http://livecomponents-ny.com/2009/09/22/4-3-origami-folding/

Panalized Folding: http://livecomponents-ny.com/2011/09/28/4_6-panelized-folding/

Also the Horizontal and Tessellated Folding didn’t work for me as they should.

Since I’m fairly new to GH I don’t know much about the program. Could it be a configuration setting?

I'm using GH 0.8.0065

Can someone please help me?
