Trying to wrap a skin around a closed surface

Hi everybody !

I am currently trying to properly apply a skin effect on a closed surface I created previously. The problem is that a "closing curve" remains on that surface that was created with a loft, and the hexagonal pattern I generate with Lunchbox is splitted by this curve. Consequently, I can't properly offset/scale the hexagonal curves that are placed along that curve.

I'm asking for your brilliant ideas !
