Truss with paneling tools, how to trim lines?

Hello Everyone!

I am following a tutorial to build up a model of a truss with Paneling Tools starting from a curve in rhino.

I followed every passage but the result is not the same...I have a problem in trimming and definying the final surfaces like these:
