Trim lines (created from points)

Hey,

i have a question is there a way to trim lines? I create lines from points that sit at the end of my steps.

For example, I would like to start the line from point A after 30cm and from point B after 45 cm.

On this line I create points where the seats are inserted (still no solution for it to put blocks automatically on all points)
