Trim edges in a pattern

Hello,

I created a pattern on a rectangular grid and distorted it using point attractors.

However, as it can be seen in the image, as lines intersect, some unattached edges occur. I want to trim the line from the latest edge it intersects.

How do you think do that?

I cannot get your file to load in either Rhino 4 or 5. It just crashes everything.

I couldn't be bothered to try and work it out without scripting... sorry.

The attached script is completely unoptimized. It also removes lines that don't intersect at all.
