Trigger options

How would I be able to trigger a custom component based on changes in the rhino file contents?

For example, I'd like the component to only run whenever the quantity of input curves changes. As long as no change occurs, the output from the component remains static.

The point for this is to "disable" certain custom components which are time-consuming to solve, yet don't produce different results most of the time. Controlling when they do run will help towards keeping the overall solution as close to real-time as possible.
