Switchable glazing take U_value into account? - EP Window Shade Generator

Hi all,

I am using the EP window shade generator to add dynamic blinds to my building in a Honeybee energy simulation.

I want to simulate (adaptable) insulated blinds and found that the EP Window Shade Generator allows for the ShadeType ''Switchable Glazing'', which representes electrochromic glazing. This ShadeType requires a complete EP construction as ''shadeMaterial'', which seemed useful to me. My shades should insulate in winter nights, and block solar on summer days. Thus, I want them to be insulated and reflective.

I gave this EP construction a certain U-value, but based on the results, I found that it does not take into account the U-value of my construction. Is this correct? Or am I doing something wrong? And if it is, would it be possible to include the U-value in the calculation? I also tried adding shades (instead of Switchable Glazing), but this provided me an error as well.

Find my file attached, including a ''HB dump'' that can be linked to the file.
