Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello everyone,

I am having trouble with the sweep 2 rails command. I am trying to sweep curve 1 across curves 2 and 3.

Curve nr 3 was at some point split and rebuilt. I couldn't get the sweep command to work, so I did the same operation on curve nr 2, hoping to get it to be defined in the same way as curve nr 3. The sweep command still didn't work. I then tried reparametrizing and flipping the curves (brainlessly, by trial and error), and still no combination worked.

Baking the curves in Rhino and trying the sweep 2 command there produced the same wild results.

Any ideas?

Hello Tom

Thanks for the quick reply.

I realised that I obtained curve 3 by projecting curve 2 on a very dense network surface, so that's where the control points come from.

I got the sweep to work by rebuilding curve3 and then breaking the rails into two parts.

Thanks for the advice!

Hi.

You can do it in the following manner by using GH  Best.
