Surface divided into segments

Hi,

I am quite new in GH.I made some definition which create a gride of pipes on surface which was divided into irregular segments.

I tride to divide surface in way that allowes me to control the distance between segments I think i need to get from DOM component U0 and U1 and change it into for example 0,4,8,12 etc. I tried to do this with simple function which definition was (x *4) while x=step_number.

Anyway is it possible to divide surface for segments that are for example 4.2 long ? Any idea how to do it ?Thanks for any help :)
