Surface Diagrid

Dear Grasshopper member,

Can you help? A while back I was exploring the Surface Diagrid definition in the Grasshopper Primer, unfortunately I am now unable to get the diagrid effect. Everything works up the Explode component and I just get dotted conection lines. Please see attached GH and dwg files.

My ultimate goal is to replace the faceted lines with a continuous spline or curve and instead of pipe be able to sweep2 a custom shape though this curviliner line. If anyone can forward me a definition it would be greatly appreciated.
