Subtract from a geometry with a geometry (Solid Difference problem)

Hi all,

I have a set of notched geometries that I would like to subtract from a second set of geometries to create notched holes.

I've tried using the solid difference component with no success. Additionally I've tried performing the operation using just Rhino, and it is taking an incredibly long time to subtract even just a single iteration. I think it might be an issue with the geometries themselves, in particular the 'zig 'zag surfaces appear to be quite complex or convoluted.

Would anyone be able have a look at the attached definition, and see whether I can clean up my (zig zag) surfaces, or something else to achieve the desired result?

The definition is quite large, but everything pertinent to my question is at the top left.

Thankyou for the help.

PS: in the image below, the green geometries are have notches that intersect with red surfaces, I'd like to subtract a hole into the red surfaces.
