algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I've been trying to model and analyse Diagrid structures but keep getting stuck at the Analyse (Karamba) stage. I've attached the Rhino & Grasshopper files, as well as screenshots of the Grasshopper layouts.

The first option I tried (shown in the screenshot below) is to create an intersection of horizontal and vertical curves to form a grid of points, and morph the Diagrid frame into those grid points. With this case, when I get to the Analyze stage of Karamba, I get an error message saying "there are no elements". My guess is that the LineToBeam (Karamba) component expects a Line input whereas I'm giving a Curve input. Converting the Curve into a Line/Polyline does not get rid of that error. Connecting the LineToBeam component to a simple line gets rid of that error message, so the error message probably is to do with the Diagrid structure being a curve.

The other option (screenshot below) I tried was to extrude a surface out of a shape, create a grid on the surface domain, convert the grid to a diamond shaped grid and Cellulate the surface. I then connected the Line wires output of this Cellulate panel to a LineToBeam (Karamba) panel. This time when I get to the Analyse stage, it gives an error saying "there are no supports".

Any suggestions on how to fix these errors?

All this work is for my Research related to Diagrid structures.

If you have any better suggestions for generating a Diagrid structure, please let me know!

I guess you might like to delete gravity vector number "_40" after that changer the gravity paramater on Lcase to negative,also gravity number by default is set to 10 .

I also see null points driven from ptwrap,there must be a problem,i think you are using wrong way to have a diagrid ...cause kramba only accept "Mesh" as geomtry for its Analysis.
