Start up ERROR! Please HELP!

Hi,

I am an M.Arch student and have been using grasshopper since last one year. This semester, having the need to use FireFly along with grasshopper, I tried to install the latest version of Grasshopper but it does not work. I am attaching the pictures of the Error message as displayed during start up. I have tried un-installing and re-installing Rhino 4 SR8 and then installing the grasshopper but still no luck. I would appreciate it very much if someone can please let me know how to go about solving this problem.

Hi Pavitra,

can you search your harddrive for a file called rhcommon_c.dll? There should be one inside the Grasshopper install folder, but I'd like to know if there are other ones as well.

Hi David,

I searched my hard drive as per your suggestion. I could only find one file called rhcommon_c.dll
It is located in the c:\Program Files\Rhinoceros 4.0\Plug-ins\Grasshopper\rh_common.

so it seems everything is in place the way it's supposed to be, but the loading fails. I'll discuss this tomorrow with some of the guys in the office, see what we can come up with. Unfortunately our SDK guru is out to a tradeshow until Monday.

Sorry for the inconvenience and the fact that I don't have a solution at all for this right now.
