spicule tower stacking

Hi everyone,

I am a new user to grasshopper, and am struggling with the Hoopsnake plugin.

I generated spicules based on basic silica sponge members, with the script bellow, and with results in the image bellow that.

I want to stack the spicule's generated to build structure, I attempted to use Hoopsnake to build a result like the image bellow, but the script did not work. Attached is the script, which is an extension to the script embedded. When I play the Hoopsnake the spicule moves into a spiky tower, I want to repeat the elements to stack.

I am a new user, so apologies if their are any blindingly obvious solutions. Any help much appreciated.
