solar study on facade

hello guys.. 

i have a 3d pattern which i have created and want to use as an interactive facade

(the pattern needs to be closed when the radiation on the building is high and needs to be open when the radiation on the building is low)

i have this solar study from my friend but i don't understand why it's not working ? can someone help me understand what is missing in my script ?

and also if i connected the commands right in step 4 (geometry/ context)
