Solar Simulation on an Adaptive Object

Hi Everyone,

I am working on an object that has a material that changes it's shape from flat to curve once direct sun radiation or solar heat becomes in direct contact of it. The simulation involves a year long study of the object on different times throughout the day.

However, I am not able to simulate the effect of solar heat gain on the material and therefore changes it's shape. Is there a way I could link solar heat gain (temperature) with an object for this adaptive study on Grasshopper?
