Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Everyone,

I am a student (and a total grasshopper newbie). I am wondering if I can draw on your wealth of knowledge to help me out with a problem. I am trying to make cylindrical scissor structures with grasshopper and I am a bit stuck treating points together as a group. If you see the attached pic I have modelled what I want to get in rhino and I am trying to duplicate that process in grasshopper.

Where I am getting stuck is that I can control where the line goes from 1 point to another point, but what I can not control is inner point circle group and how if affects the outer circle points as a group. I want to connect a line from to the outer point circle to the inner point circle by shifting one point to make the scissor structure. Any ideas/tips? Attached is the script and rhino file in case you want to see the original. Thanks!

Hi.

Looking into your rhino file, it seems to me that definitely is the "Relative Items"case.

Thank you so much, this is amazing and works really well, I think I should be able to figure out how to extrapolate how to do the simpler rectangle formation now that I have the triangle formation here. Cheers!
