Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I'm using Ladybug to cast shadows as curves. I input an EPW file and that works, using "ladybug_shadow". I don't care about actual real life shadows, I just want to be able to play with some light sources and get shadows that work well for whatever drawing I'm making.

Current setup: http://www.evernote.com/shard/s5/sh/20891aa8-0126-4959-8a6a-760b758...

1: Is it possible for the shadows not to be broken up into lots of separate curves?

see: http://www.evernote.com/shard/s5/sh/734c181b-5666-4851-ab80-d5f9703...

2: Can I use a non-epw sources of light? As in a directional light that I can place in Rhino or a light bulb in room.

I'm open to suggestions on other methods than ladybug to produce shadow curves. I wish to use the shadows curves alongside a make2d to do vector illustrations in AI.

I'm still a grasshopper beginner.

Many many thanks!
