algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I am using SetSliderValue in a Python script to set some sliders in a large patch, but am also using a lot of Digit Scrollers. It is setting the sliders just fine, but not the Digit Scrollers.
Is there a way to change them? Is it also possible to change Boolean Toggles or Buttons?
I feel the Digit Scroller is getting a lot less love than it should, because I have found in a lot of cases it is better to use than the slider, as it has no defined min or max value and has no need for a seperate UI window.
From the perspective of actually entering the values I find the digit scroller superior as you can doubleclick it to enter a value even when zoomed out quite a lot, which again the slider cant do. I have a lot of variables which can have a large range of values and setting the sliders to arbitrarily high values in positive and negative kind of defeats the point of it being a slider if you have to enter the value manually anyways if you want fine control.
Poor old digit scroller also can't be published to the RCP, can't have expressions and has no proper support for integers. I feel like the slider and digit scroller both have pros and cons, but should have similar capabilities.
