Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi David

GH is nearly perfect for what I have seen so far. My compliments for such a great work.

There is only one thing I hate : the scribble object

I am making a documentation of some GH docs and in the attempt to place correctly

those text objects is a pain. In 90% of the cases you want a horizzontal text and maybe the other 9 % a 90° text and 1% other orientation (at least me) , trying to find the center of the text to avoid rotation is a pain in the a...s .

plese give a option to disable rotation while moving it (if picked out of the damn center) or anything else more usable .

cheers

I agree, most of the time, I too need the text to be horizontal. So it would be nice to have the default case with disabled rotation and when the rotation is desired, one can enable it? (Assuming that this scenario benefits most users)

@Gerry: In the meanwhile, you can hold the shift key down while moving the text, this disables rotation.

Hi Sridevi

Thanks a lot

Well this solves my problem , at least I have a way to get text placed in a fast way

Hold Shift to move a scribble without rotation. Hold Control to rotate a scribble without moving it. There are no 45/90 degree ortho snaps though, so making it perfectly vertical is not possible.
