I know it may not be appropriate to ask this question here, but thought maybe I could get an answer faster!
What is the method to add people, trees, etc in rhino – while using VRay for rendering? Someone told me that Photoshop is the easiest way. But is that it?
Hi Deepthi,
Are you talking about vray for rhinoceros?
The easiest way is adopt the 2D Billboards.
Billboards are simple planes in virtual scenes with mapped peoples, animals or trees. The material is simple -a textured diffuse layer and a transparency map. VfR need transparency maps, but often alpha maps are to get. No problem, only the "invert" option must be set at the transparency map.
You can find this on vray user guide...read it!!
I was trying to insert tiff image with picture frame command, but it didnt work...
Is there any site where I can download the billboards?
And how exactly do I insert them? Is it just like a plane surface or plane onto which the material is applied?
I dont remember this to be there in the vray book....
No, i think what works better now is to download those 3d models of people, trees and some other stuff from Google 3D Warehouse. Put it in the model and render together. But remember to choose the flat people, not the 3d people if you want a faster rendering.
Personally I have never used your method Adam, but
if I must compose a large scene full of people, trees ecc ecc, what happen? With a lot of copy of 3dmodels,how many increase the dimensions of the file?
What happen if I whant my personal photo in my render????I think you cannot download your personal 3d model from Warehouse!!;-)
Everything depend on what you want obtain. In any cases I would know better Warehouse.Thank you Adam
Sorry for my bad english.
