Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

rotating panels, which originate form non uniform inputs...!? help..

Hi,

I am not the best in grasshopper but I have been trying to think of a solution to this problem and nothing I am doing is working.

It is for a project where the overall form which is kind of a cone has yet to be decided so I designed it within parameters.

However the cone is made up of between 13- 15 panels, which have very specific lengths, although the widths can change. ( this is due to the fact its a sound installation)

What I am trying to do is input the sized panals into the grasshopper component and then being able to explode the panals so I am able to then rotate them according to an atractor point.

or....at the very least trim the square panels into the angled panels within grasshopper.

I know that its not going to be spot on..I just need somre outcomes as we are still in the design stage of the project.

Overall what I am trying to achieve if it is possible...if you can input non uniform surface panalisation into grasshopper and then change the angles of the panels.

p.s...curently just trying to test one panal..in this script...as each panal is diffirent.

Any suggestions....even if it is any alternative ways ( outside of grasshopper of doing it) short of modeling everything up by hand which is kind of time consuming as every time the shape changes I will have to model all the panels up again.
