Grasshopper

Hey,

it might be a silly question but,

i have an object witch i want to rotate perpendicular to the plane.

I'd be happy to hear your advise.

thank you.

Try using simple rotate component and set initial and final directions. Hope this works. (I'm a beginner though :P )

i managed! thank you :)

I am not so  sure that I understand your question. To rotate something you need an axis of rotation an a center of rotation (if you do it in 3D). Also an angle.

You can use any of the axis of the plane, but is that what you want?

Maybe you should "translate" the "perpendicular to the plane" in another way. I am trying to visualize it and I can't.

Also, look at the Transform tab in grasshopper for the options you have.

hey,

It didn't work at the beginning with thee 3d rotation , but i figured it out.

thank you!

I wasn't going to comment on this because you didn't post any code...  So tired of that!!!  (see #3)

But it looks like your center of rotation (a point, not a plane!) is wrong?  Using 'X' and 'Z' vectors as points (the 'B' and 'C' inputs to 'Plane 3Pt') doesn't make sense to me.

you are absolutely right!
I thought its minor thing so i wont need to post all the file that. next time i will.

Thank you!
