Rhino paneling tools as a method to draw an interesting plastic planter

Hello,

I'm new to the Rhino/Grasshopper interface and would like to know the best way to draw the planters in the attached image. I was wondering if its best to draw the planter using Rhino paneling tools on a circular surface (or is a grasshopper definition the better route)?

If grasshopper, I would appreciate a definition guide.
