Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys

am trying to create a playground slide on grasshopper consisting of a straight line, a loop, then a straight line, as in the top view here:

but with points throughout the line that i can adjust by a graph mapper or something so i can vary the height and size of the twirl in the middle

i essentially want to split the curve on grasshopper like this with points that i can change:

this is because i eventually want to create variations, so i can decrease the middle section, so the variations would look something like this:

i understand that i can generate a line and an arc , but:

1. i can't seem to join them together

2. not sure how to adjust points to give it alternating heights/z axis

3. arc in the middle not oriented the right way!

thank you so much in advanced

thank you for your reply.

i opened your file on grasshopper, and it looks very useful in determining the height of the slide. however, my main problem was in terms of the rhino drawn line you've created:

is there any way to generate that on grasshopper, instead of drawing it on rhino? I want to several slides with some with more of a curve, and some with less of a curve, and with grasshopper i can parametrically adjust the middle twirl bit if that makes sense?

thanks again in advanced!
