Remove the first object from the Move CMD.

I am attempting to rotate the base object at a set interval every time it moves up a level.

Basically, I want the shape to be rotated to the halfway point between the columns each time it moves up a level, such that it will be the same form every two levels.  Currently, all I am managing to do is rotate everything.  Is it possible to remove the base object from the move or rotation command?
